New Project – 16 Long Distance National Trails!

new walks

It’s been a while since I last wrote – life happens!

My therapy is walking and I have decided I need to give myself a long-term goal – namely walking all 16 of our National Trails!

I’ve done one – it’s a start! That being the South Downs Way which I completed on Mother’s Day – 100 miles in 11 stages. I don’t have the luxury of walking every day unfortunately as I work weekdays so it has to be weekend walking and even then I can’t manage it every weekend – other commitments, next one being walk I’m leading this year for the Isle of Wight Festival walks, Sunday 21st May– hope to see plenty of folk there!

My current project is The North Downs Way – up to fifth stage, from Oxted.

I will try to keep a blog of these walks – the photos are on a series of power points that I deliver, as lectures/presentations, to a local care home. The rest of my week is divided between TEFL tutoring/teaching and Zumba classes so there’s not a huge amount of time for other things – I miss my writing of plays but maybe one day I’ll be rich enough to retire – unlikely!
